Ministerial Prayer Alliance
The alliance seeks a unity in the Spirit and is
made up of people from numerous Christian beliefs.
There is no official membership and all are free to
participate in as many group activities as fit their
schedules. Any pastor, minister, and intercessor, is
invited to join the group regardless of
denominational affiliation or non-affiliation.
History
The original prayer group was started more than six years ago. It began with John Youell, Pastor of
the Crown Center in Oklahoma City and Robert
Jackson, pastor of New Jerusalem Center in Norman
having a weekly prayer time together. They invited
Darryl Manning, pastor of House of Joy Church in
Oklahoma City to join. The round robin prayer
between the three pastors expanded to meeting at any
church where invited. The group has increased to
more than thirty who pray regularly. Their ministry
area has also increased to include outlying
communities as far away as Stillwater and Apache.
The leadership was expanded to include:
- Steve
Eden, Pastor of Grace Vineyard Fellowship in Nicoma
Park, as the East OKC Area Coordinator
- Steve Gordon, Assistant Director of Heart Menders International, Inc. of Bethany, as the West OKC Area Coordinator
- Robert Gonzales, Pastor of Oasis Center Church on NW Expwy., as the North OKC Area Coordinator
